Kambodzhan sadekausi / Cambodia's Rainy Season
Elämme paraikaa sadekautta Kambodzhassa eli vettä tulee jo lähes päivittäin, yleensä iltapäivällä ukkosen saattelemana. Välillä on ollut kuivia päiviä, mikä ei ole tavallista tähän vuodenaikaan. Täälläkin vuoden kuumin kausi on ollut ennätyskuuma. Välillä sateet ovat tulleet hurjien myrskyjen mukana ja kadut ovat useampaan otteeseen tulvineet polveen asti.
It's the rainy season in Cambodia which means that it rains almost everyday now, usually in the afternoons and accompanied by thunderstorms. But there are dry days as well and that's not typical for this time of year. The hot season has been the hottest in who knows how long, kind of what Europe's experienced this summer with record breaking heat waves. Sometimes the rain comes with wild storms and the streets have flooded more than once with water up to ones knees.

Paluu lomilta / Back from the holidays
Tänä kesänä meillä oli vain muutamia lomapäiviä käytettävänä, joten emme päässeet Suomeen vaan vietimme lomamme alueella, merenrannalla.
This summer we only had a couple of days of vacation so we didn't make it to Finland but spent our break in the area, by the seaside.
Laskeuduimme kutakuinkin suoraan rannalle!

Ihmettelimme kahlaavia kalastajia / Watched wading fishermen
Ja uimme meressä / And we swam in the sea.
