P'jum ban, eli riisipallojen kokous, on yksi maan tärkeimmistä pyhistä sekä kulttuurillisesti että uskonnollisesti. Wat -temppelialueet ovat juhlan aikana täynnä ihmisiä, kun jokainen perhepiiri tuo munkeille lahjoja kiitoksena heidän rukouksistaan esi-isiensä, edesmenneiden ystävien ja sukulaisten puolesta.
Each year around October-November, Cambodians remember the souls of the deceased in a festival lasting 15 days. P'jum ban, or the meeting of rice balls, is one of the most important local events both culturally as well as spiritually. Wat temple grounds are packed with people when each extended family brings offerings to monks as a way of thanking them for their prayers for their ancestors and deceased loved ones.
