Tiikereitä, onko niitä? / Two Feline Brothers?

Kambodzhassa on arviolta 0-10 uhanalaista indokiinantiikeriä. Viimeisin kuvahavainto on kolmen vuoden takaa, Mondulkirin metsissä. Kamera "ansa" nappasi kuvan kahdesta "veljeksestä" (viittaan täällä kuvattuun elokuvaan "Kaksi veljestä.") Viimeiset sassujäljet löytyivät vuonna 2009, myöskin itä-Kambodzhan aroilta. Tiikerien tulevaisuus on huolestuttava, sillä metsissä liikkuu myös tuntematon määrä salametsästäjiä.

danger ☠ for tigers

There are an estimated 0-10 endangered Indochinese tigers living in Cambodia today. The last photographic evidence of their existence is from three years ago, from the forests of Mondulkiri. A camera "trap" snapped a shot of two "brothers" (my reference to the movie filmed here, The Two Brothers). The last tiger paw tracks were found in 2009, also in the plains of eastern Cambodia. The future with and for tigers is worrying as there are not only tigers out there but poachers too.
