Tässä päivän Luukku: kambodzhalaiset pikkukaverit, eli gecko-liskot. Tänään niitä taas ihailtiin ulkona ja sisällä, tosin itse säikähdin aikalailla kun gecko ryntäsi minua kohti avatessani roskiskaapin oven. Kumpihan meistä pelästyi enemmän?
It was difficult to decide which English terms to use for this blog advent calendar and I eventually came up with "door" for the Finnish "luukku." Well, yesterday we got a good tip from a friend here who's debated the same issue and thus from now on (for the couple of days left before Christmas!) we get to enjoy a more accurate translation: "window"!
Here's today's window theme... the Cambodian gecko. The boys admired a couple inside and outside today but I got quite a scare when one "charged" me (these things are small, I admit...) when I opened the door to reach our garbage bin. Who got spooked more, I wonder?
